Taiwanese local food

I caught a cold from a few days ago.
Fortunally I got 5 days vacation in a row.
I slept a lot today and had dinner near my home.
I actually wanted to try Taiwanese food like I posted Taiwanese style ShabuShabu.
But There were a lot of people wating for it, So I just went to another restaurant.

I chose Taiwanese local food for dinner.
I was going to order Luroufan(滷肉飯), But They didn't have it today.
Luroufan looks almost the same as I ate today, If you like meat, You should try it.
The price is depending on restaurants, So It's about 25~50NT.
I just wanted to have something like with rice, So I just order as in the picture.

I ordered steamed pork belly(三層肉).
I have really wanted to eat it, But I didn't know the name.
Today when I saw the menu, There was the name I can guessed.
So I just ordered it and That was the right one!
You can eat it with the ginger and the soy sauce together.

The last one is a soup.
Cause I caught a cold, So I thought I need something hot.
This one is also good!
I think I will go to this restaurant often.
I want to try more Taiwanese local food!
The total price was 115NT.
I think It's really cheap, Cause I had a lot of food! : )

How to find a job in Taiwan?

There is a website that You can search jobs.
But You should know Chinese, If  you want to join the website or You should ask your Taiwanese friend.
I also used the website to find a job in Taiwan.
So before I went to Taiwan, I found out some companies to be able to have interviews as soon as I get to Taiwan.

This is the main page.
As you can see there is no English.
But There is some ways you can find a job.

You can just type in English like English teacher or something you want to find.
Some companies Posted in English, So You can find some jobs for English speakers.
Also some companies wrote their E-MAIL address.

The other way is that You find on this website.
I also used it before, But it's normally for English teachers.
So When I used it, It didn't work.
But I think It must work for English teachers.

The last one is to go to cram school directly and give them your resume.
I know the biggest one is called 地球村.
They also have Japanese language.

Here's the websites which I introduced.

Thailand style Ramen Daxin(大心)

Today I am going to introduce you a Ramen restaurant!
I don't really like Ramen, But I like this Ramen restaurant.
They also have a few branches and It's a Thailand style Ramen.
I think If You like Thai food, You would probably like it.
If you want to try it, You should type 大心 on google map.

I ordered Curry Ramen, They also have some set menu, But I didn't order it.
You can see that There is a chicken's leg in the soup.
I really love the soup.
They just have a few menu, But It's really popular.

The price is not really cheap in Taiwan and You would pay the tip as well.
So mine was 200NT and 10% of the tip.
But When you have a meal at the restaurant, You can get a free ice cream coupon!
But If you buy it, You have to pay 45NT for it.
Just remember that You have to use it in the day you visit the restaurant.

This is the ice cream!
The flavor is black sesame and You can choose it as a cooky or a plastic cup.
They only have one flavor, But I really like the taste!
This is one of my favorite ice creams i have eaten.
so try it, When you visit Taiwan!

Taiwanese style steak!

Today I am going to introduce you Taiwanese style steak!
It's a little bit different from the steak we know.
But I really love Taiwanese style steak! Let's see!

When you order a steak in Taiwan, it normally comes with soup.
Have you seen it before? I don't really see this kind of soup in Korea.
Actually I haven't had it in Korea before.
You can eat it, after the steak! so if you don't want to eat it right now, Don't put the bread into the soup.
Then It would be still warm, After you eat the steak.

You can't really see this at steak restaurants, but near my home They have it.
It's like all you can eat, But the steak restaurant where I usually go to, Their steak is really big.
so I just take 2~3.

Finally The steak comes out! This time I ordered beef and pork together.
Usually It just comes out one, But some restaurant have like this set menu.
I also love the noodle with the sauce!
I think if you visit Taiwan, Taiwanese steak is one of the foods you must eat!

MOS BURGER in Taiwan!

Today I had dinner at MOS BURGER!I didn't really like MOS BURGER, Cause the hamburger is really small and nothing special.
I don't know if It's just not good in Taiwan or in Japan either.
Yesterday suddenly electronic was blacked out.
My phone was almost died, so i went to MOS BURGER.
Because They have the socket!

It's funny! Because It's Korean style burger! I wanna try it later! : )
Recently Korean restaurants have gotten more in Taiwan, So MOS BURGER also got the one!

Taiwanese people enjoy hamburgers with black tea or milk tea!
I think Korean people won't get used to it.
Basically We don't drink black tea and usually we eat hamburger with coke.

It was my dinner! I normally eat rice once in a day.
So I chose rice burger, It was really nice!
Even though It wasn't also not big, I liked it Because of the rice!
I liked the rice burger's patty!

Recommended an Youtube channel for English and Korean leanrners

I think there are also a lot of people learning English and Korean at the same time.
There is an Youtuber to upload videos which is 5 minutes tutoring.
Probably He's famous to Korean people learning English.
His name is Michael and His Korean is really good, so He's trying to explain in English that people don't really understand without Korean explanation.
I am also one of the people who watch his Channel. I'm trying to remember the expression which will be usefull and I am trying to use them, when I meet native speakers.
I have learnt Japanese as well. so these days I watch Chika's Youtube channel more, But I think his channel is more good fit for the English and Korean learners!
The most important thing is that You have to use the expression, Also When you meet native speakers, You have to use them anyway.

Tried Taiwanese style ShabuShabu!

Yesterday I went to Dongmen(東門) to have dinner with my friends.
We ate Taiwanese style ShabuShabu which is called Huoguo(火鍋).
There is a branch which is Shierguo(石二鍋).

We waited for long time to go into the restaurant.
I think You should go there for lunch on weekday.
We had them! The price is about 220NT for each person(including drink)
You can also order other stuff like egg or rice.
I had a nice time with my friends and ate a lot.
This branch is famous for personal ShabuShabu, But we chose the table which we can eat together.
You can find out this branch on google map, Just type 石二鍋 and go to the place which is convenient for you.
Enjoy your meal!

Recommended an Youtube channel for English and Japanese leanrners

I think there are a lot of people learning English and Japanese at the same time.
I wrote that I learned Japanese for the first and the next language was English.
Foreign dramas didn't really affected me.
People are just acting by the subscript, so I feel like it's awkward.
Anyway It doesn't really a good way to learn languages for me.
But Interviews or short teaching videos affect me.
Chika is a Japanese person  who grew up in America and she makes videos for teaching English and Japanese or her everyday life.
She speaks like Japanese and English once, so I just watch her video without any stress.
I just watch her video, when I am free.
So You can watch her video, When you are bored.
I hope everyone will enjoy learning foreign languages.

Self introduction

Hello, Everyone!

I am a Korean who lives in Taiwan.
I grew up in Korea and I was quite normal boy.
I wasn't interested in English at all and other languages either.
One day I heard that an old man was calling in Japanese.
His Japanese was really good like Japanese people speaking, so I was impressed by him.
After that I was trying to learn Japanese and started to take a Japanese class in a cram school.
That was when I was in my third year of high school.
My life has been changed a lot.
I went to a foreign country for the first time, made some foreign friends, learned foreign cultures, listened to foreign music and watched foreign dramas.

When I went to the army, There was a guy who is familiar with English grammar, He taught me English so I could start to study English.
Before I met him, i couldn't really get what are the ways to learn English, After I met him, I got to know that.
I was planning to go to Australia on a working holiday visa, that's why I kept learning English.
When I was in Australia, I had a lot of good experience and it was really worth it.
I met some Taiwanese friends in Australia, After I met them, I decided to go to Taiwan.
Taiwanese friends affected me and I also got to interested in Chinese while learning Japanese, so I was learning Chinese a little bit.
That's why I studied Chinese in Taiwan for half a year and came back to Korea.
I was working in Korea and my job was related with the languages I have learnt.

Thank you for reading!

The reasons why I made the decision to go to Taiwan on a working holiday visa

Let me introduce my self first!
I am Brent from Korea.
I started learning Japanese, When I was in my third year of high school and my major in college was also Japanese. I have stayed in Australia on a working holiday visa, After that I went to Taiwan to study Chinese for half a year.
I have worked in Korea for a short time, After I retired from my work, I was trying to find a job in Korea, But I wanted to live in a foreign country while working, so I changed my mind to work in a foreign country.

Before making the decision for Taiwan working holiday visa, I was concerned a lot.
Because I went to Australia on a working holiday visa, but I was afraid of what if i just had a part time job again like in Australia? and I also really love Taiwan, so I was thinking about working in Taiwan.
But the pay is really low and the qualification to get work permit is really difficult, so I was thinking to work in Hong Kong at the first time.
I kept sending my resume to companies in Hong Kong, But no answer and I have to spend about 700~1000US$ for the rent fee, if I lived there.
I thought that i can't live there, Because I didn't have enough money.
That's why I made the decision to go to Taiwan, from that time I applied for the working holiday visa, bought the ticket and I started sending my resume to companies in Taiwan, Because I wanted to have interviews as soon as i get to Taiwan.
So I had 3 interviews in the week i got to Taiwan and 4 interviews were arranged.
